Family Storytime

Five years ago, we started a Christmas tradition by reading a story together as a family. This year we are reading Jotham's Journey by Arnold Ytreeide. We read a chapter every night until Christmas morning. The story is fictional but we are following the ten-year old Jotham across Israel as he searches for his family and faces thieves, robbers, and kidnappers. Throughout the story he encounters shepherds, wise men, and inkeepers until at last he finds his way to the Savior born in Bethlehem. As we follow Jotham through his journey, the author helps us to see truths in our lives that allow us to serve Him whole-heartedly. The girls really enjoy the story and anticipate family storytime every night.
