This morning after breakfast, we heard a noise out front and opened the door to find a bright red firetruck. Our first response was "is our house on fire?" Then we saw our landlord who was with them. He had called the fire department so that he could borrow their long extension ladder to go up on the roof and investigate a leak. So Bill helped the landlord fix the clay tile shingles and an hour later the firemen came back to pick up their ladder.Monday, October 15, 2007

I'm really glad your house wasn't on fire- how cool that they would let your landlord borrow the ladder! How scary to think of Bill on the roof "fixing" things-
