Rain

What a beautiful sound to hear the pitter-patter of raindrops against the windows! The sound of cars driving in the rain....The smell of rain....Yes, it has been raining all afternoon and into the evening. This is the first time for months that we have received substantial rainfall (and we are supposed to be in our "rainy season"). Ecuador is experiencing a severe drought and as a result has been rationing electricity. Thank you Lord for sending some rain. It is much needed and a perfect birthday present as well.
