Life is Always Interesting

Living in Ecuador is always interesting to say the least. This morning we met with our teammates for a time of prayer. When we arrived home, our teammates had forwarded an email from the U.S. embassy and we turned on the TV to keep abreast of the breaking news. Apparently there was an attempted coup on President Correa (follow link to read more from CNN) this morning. The government has called for a one week state of emergency and the military is in charge of security. This is nothing new in the country's history because there have been 3 coup attempts and 7 presidents ousted since 1997. We know that God is in control of this situation and ask you to pray for the country's political stability at this time.
